Hi

I have decided to start a new thread as the other one was getting long

I am looking at getting Office 2021 Professional Plus but after doing some research and reading this about cheap licences  https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/all/office-2021-professional-plus/ec895f9c-57fb-4e90-b191-6749e56e42bb

I have now found a microsoft partner https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/partner-dir/b1b2e16b-96a1-4d81-a2e9-9b8719871454/overview

So would i be correct in thinking i would be safe to purchase Office 2021 Professional Plus from Unidrax?

Thank you

Nope, just the next level of marketing grey licences. The blurb on the partner link was written by the company themselves, not Microsoft - they are not authorised licence resellers by any stretch of the imagination.

As per your first link, professional plus is NOT available as an individual licence, only as a volume licence.

If you are going to get a grey market licence then just get the cheapest you can find from a seller with a good reputation rather than trying to kid yourself by paying over the odds for one.

Your choices are for genuine are:

    1. Microsoft Office Professional 2021 - £419.99
    2. Microsoft Office Home & Business 2021 £249.99
    3. Microsoft Office 2021 Home & Student £119.99

You can probably get about 10-20% off the above costs from a proper reseller, anything lower than that is probably greymarket licence.

Otherwise just get a £20 greymarket licence and entertain the risk that the licence is not official and may stop working - but avoid the volume licence-only products such as "Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021" which is volume only and therefore more likely to be blacklisted.

HI Thank for this. ( again)   :)
I just want Word, Excell, Outlook for my desktop e mail client  and maybe power point that why i was looking at Office pro plus.
When i do a search on Google shopping all it comes up with is the Pro plus arrggg.
    I did email a few companies this morning asking this;

I have read that office 2021 professional plus  is a volume based licence sold illicitly on the internet at knock down prices.  Your Office Pro Plus 2021 may work for a long time or a short time or not at all, just depends on how long it is before Microsoft disables it.

Is this true and what happens if it is disabled by Microsoft?

One came back with The license we sell is not volume. Its genuine retail license, permanent activation for 1 computer. It will not be disabled.

    Another;

All of our products are single activation Keys, which means you can activate them only once, and it is activated for a lifetime.
Once it is installed on a computer it is bound to the machine until the end of its useful life.
Our products are original and legit. We make sure to only get them from licensed distributors. Moreover, our website is guaranteed by Microsoft Deutschland GmbH.
I hope this clears your doubt.

The 1st company when googled had a green tick against it by Norton and the 2nd Co. had an amber warning tick against it and the third company i asked hasn't replied as yet and it has a grey ? against it.

I might go with the 1st company https://softwaresupply.net/product/microsoft-office-2021-professional-plus-for-windows/ but probably  search some more later in the week, what do you think?

    Thanks again

In fairness I bought Office 2019 Professional Plus back in June 2019 from a greymarket and it still works ok, the licence is even registered with my MS account without issues.

I wouldn't take the answers from the traders answers as gospel though!

In my case I have obtain an MSDN licence, so basically somebody somewhere has an MSDN subscription tied to my licence - see the "MSDNR_Retail edition" below.

So although it is not a volume licence and is a "genuine" individual licence, it clearly does not belong to me!

Possible that if that person stops paying their MSDN subscription my licence will go pop.

Run the above command when you get your licence and you'll find out what kind you have.

I have gone down the official route and bought it from M soft but via topcash back.
    Straight forward to set up
Uninstalled office 2010 then installed the 2021 version.
Even my email settings were setup all I had to do was import the pst file thingy.
The only bit I might of messed up with is the word format we're you are given 2 choices of versions to use.
I chose the 1st option without understanding the options and can't find how to change to the other version if need be.
    Thanks for all your help.

It makes no difference what you choose, if you do need the other type you can do File -> Save As.
