Cavity wall insulation EPS

The current favourite for retro-installation of cavity wall insulation appears to be bonded eps beads. I have seen them described with the addition of words like 'carbon', 'graphite', 'platinum', 'diamond' or just 'grey', as the beads have some form of coating to improve heat retention and moisture resistance which gives them a grey colour.
Does anybody know if there is actually any difference between the different suppliers' grey beads? They all seem to have about the same insulation figures.
