About 2000 quid of 'support' from each taxpayer in the country.
How much longer is this tragi-comedy going to be allowed to run for - the government must be really desperate to see 125% LTV and 6x salary loans continue.

Every pound less borrowed (to buy a house) is more than two pounds less to repay and more than three pounds less to earn, over the course of a typical mortgage.

Good to see, in the same news, that inflation hasn't increased over the last month......... apparently we can all relax now and reduce interest rates.
I must have imagined that my food and petrol bills have increased hugely recently.
The Government must think we are really thick or do people genuinely believe this rubbish?0 -

Northern Rock is being looked at/covered at 10.30 on ITV... so in 6 minutes.

Agreed, but who the heck do you vote for. They all seem to me to be a bunch of shabby sleaze bags. The only reason any of them want power is the cash, the power and the self publicity.Total rubbish.
tory, they may be corrupt but its cheaper to let a few mps pocket brown envelopes rather than be incompitant like labour. i have no idea how they managed to blow a billion on a tent but the bit that really got me was it costing £24 million a month to keep closed, how does that work?0 -
