Side consultancy during garden leave

I’ve been made redundant but on paid garden leave until March. I have been given permission to do some consulting work. If I do this I will pay tax but do I also need to set up PAYE and pay another salary on top of another? Or just minus expense and tax and pay myself profit/dividend from the consultancy work?

How are you working for the client?
Self-employed - self assessment at the end of the year
Employed - they sort it out
Agency - they sort it out
Ltd company - not sure, I think then you do need to sort out PAYE or self assessment depending on how you set it up
