Stock market opening times

What are the opening times for stock markets, Google says the LSE is open for 24 hours.
I looked at some shares on Google and the price was around two hours behind.
I bought on my HL app, which I have never done before, but no confirmation email yet.
When you view USA stocks on Google, it's confusing because it shows an active line and a line forward price, which is obviously impossible.

London stock exchange trading hours are usually 8:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday. It Is closed on bank holidays  and  and sometimes finishes early, as it does today.

Overseas markets, such as the Nasdaq, will have their own trading hours which differ from the London Stock Exchange.

Google will not show live share prices. In fact, unless you are paying for a data feed, pretty much any website will show you prices that are delayed by 15 minutes or so.

I would have expected it to be the same as banks, so I was surprised at an early finish today

No, for years now Google has shown live last traded prices for London, New York and possibly others.

The last traded price is okay for well traded companies with a tight bid/offer spread but it can be misleading for those that aren't as the bid/offer can be wide and move independently of trades occurring.

It always closes early - 12.30 - before the Christmas and New Year bank holidays so it'll close early again next Friday.

For US traded shares, the red line in the chart shows the price during normal market hours whilst the grey line shows the 'after hours' price. There's also a pre-market. It varies by company but bid/offer spreads are wider and liquidity is lower outside normal market times. Pre-market trading begins at 12.00 GMT and after hours is a couple of hours or more past the normal close at 21.00 GMT. You'd need to check with your broker as to whether it offers after hours trading.

    Hi,
FTSE close today at 12.35 pm,

I saw that, but I dismissed it because I thought an organisation wouldn't close at 12,35 maybe noon or 1pm

It closed at 12.30 but there's always a five minute auction to finalise the day's prices. You'll notice that the time of the final prices on a normal day are 16.35.
