How do I remove ESET antivirus

I made a mistake by downloading ESET antivirus on to my laptop and now cannot remove it

It does not appear on my program list

There is a shortcut on my desktop that, when I delete - keeps reappearing !

How do I completely remove it ?

Done it - eventually

Anyone thinking of trying Eset should think of it as a virus in its own right

Even following Esets own instructions for removal - leaves bits of it (non-executables) all over the C: drive

And I never even got to run the program !!
