Ebay Packlink Problem

I sold an item and bought carriage using eBay’s own delivery system, Packlink. This was on 20 Dec. At the time, the system said the package would be picked up on 21 Dec, but it has not been picked up yet. The system is now estimating delivery on 29 Dec.
I have told my buyer, who said he needs it middle of next week, ie before 29 Dec.
Is there anything I can or should do about this?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

You will have to tell buyer it will definitely not reach him in time due to RM strikes. Suggest that you cancel sale, cancel the postage and re list after Christmas. The 20th was well after RMs last posting date and realistically had very little chance of getting there.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. It’s supposed to be Evri picking it up.
Anyway, I told the buyer, who seems to prefer to wait, rather than cancel. I expect that is because the item is a bit of a bargain.

As for ‘useful’ things, I fully understand 😀 my private accounts have been selling for the best part of a year tons of items from storage , some that has been in storage from my deceased family members, for years. All kept in case they became useful. Kitchenalia, personal effects like jewellery , books, ornaments small pieces of furniture etc.
Most items were never going to be useful though including several old square TVs and PC monitors that nearly broke my car springs on the way to the dump. I still have one in the back garden that I can’t actually lift to get into the car.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I certainly can do, but that means cancelling the current pickup, and doing a new 'postage label'. Is it guaranteed that Evri will pick up any sooner from the shop?
