Morning all
Happy Christmas Eve Eve - I always get very excited about CEE - which is a bit daft as I am not really sure that its a thing! This is my very first O/S Daily - which is also exciting. I am over at my parents today - I need to get some gingerbread baked and the Christmas cakes decorated. We need to pick up some coal too. So a few jobs to be done.
I hope that everyone has as warm and happy a day as possible xo11 -
Morning all,
I'm working today but it's very quiet so I'm wrapping gifts in between wiggling the mouse. Have so far managed to wrap DD's and now onto DS2's. Feeling tons better thank the lord. Rain of biblical proportions here.
Dinner tonight is a simple breaded fish, SW chips and peas. It's the last FC tomorrow and I wanted a certain number by Christmas. Think the Rip Van Winkle act/no food has contributed to me smashing that goal!
Lovely to hear from you @poppy811, take care lovely xx
Hope @RedRuby1231 is resting up xx
Glad your DD and DGD are back in their house @dp1 x
Hope you're okay @mehefin, thinking of you x
That's a lovely way to repurpose the jewellery @bellabella
I was thinking the same as @taff @snoozer - would talking to the health visitor help? No harm in asking if she's struggling. I hope she's okay x
I'm going out to get some veggies and 3 jumbo gift bags later. Will probably walk down and have DH pick me up as the rain is set for the day.
Have a good day all

Morning all, looks like I'm on the late shift again! I got almost everything done yesterday, even called in the new Aldi for something I had forgotten and thankfully only the fresh meat aisle was busy. We called in on Dad to give him his xmas cake and stayed for a cuppa too.
Today I have stripped the bed and put the bedding in the wm, zero chance of drying outside because it's still raining. The upstairs will get a clean this morning and the bed re-made, then later there are sausage rolls and stuffing to make. We'll have apricot and chestnut but I have to make just paxo for Dad. I don't really feel like doing anything as I have DGD's cold, I know it's good to share but not this !
Thinking of all the poorly ones, those recuperating and anyone in need.
Take care all
nan xx

Morning from a very soggy Kent. All shopping done now, went to Tesco last night and it was reasonably quiet, apparently the large store was manic.
Just st a bit of cleaning and a haircut at 12 for me today.
keep safe and warm, and dry!Carolbee10 -
My trip into town was semi-successful. I managed to scrape another car when I pulled mine into a space. Mine is undamaged, the other has a few scratches on it, the poor woman was on her way to her father's cremation.
No major damage so I'll probably just pay for it directly. She was very good about it and I was very apologetic and shocked - it's the first time I've ever hit another car although I've been hit twice before. Nothing will happen until after New Year.
Then I collected my new meds and went to the hardware shop for steel wool and a couple of mousetraps. There's been a little mouse scampering around my skirting boards in the living room for two days now. I put down some poison (which is gone) but then had a wave of guilt about it so have decided to do the swift deed instead. I've also found a wee hole by the stairs which I'll stuff with the steel wool for now, but not where they come in. My place is a very old stone built cottage so there are probably lots of places of entry and it's the season for them to seek warmth. I hate to do this as they (must be more than one) are tiny wee field mice...but still mice!Everyone sounds so busy and industrious, I'm going to hole up to watch 'The King and I' with a dash of Bailey's in my coffee.9 -
Gers must be the day for it as i managed to scrape my alloys hopefully it won't be too expensive to deal with for you x
I collected my jewellery unfortunatly my turquoise ring is beyond repair without damaging the stones he did say the stones are well worn but this is a piece that has been in my mums jewellery box my entire life and was passed to her so he said have a think about maybe repurposing it as the cost to dismantle and remake would be way more than its worth but i dont want to loose the remaining stones even though they are worn. Never mind i am happy with what he has done with the rest of the pieces
