The fact that you got a payment cannot be compared to the OP as he did not get a payment during the relevant period and that seems to have caused the problem.
How does he convince HMRC that a payment is due?
I can only assume there are some underlying factors that blocked the payment, as surely it just comes down to the computer saying yes or no.
I thought there was a formal route to go down in the event of non payment?0 -
Yes I read that. As I also said my final tax credits payment was 8th July yet I still received both COL payments as I meet the other criteria of an award of £26 in year. I did not need to have received a later payment in August/September to qualify for the second payment.sheramber said:

But you did receive a payment so your situation is different to the OP’s.You do not have the complication of no payment in the required period, which seems to be what HMRC are using as the decision to refuse payment of col.0
