Thanks all! So it seems to have settled down a bit. After using the cold tap, there are no drips. After using the hot water tap, there is perhaps one drip, sometimes two, then it stops. Mixing both hot and cold sometimes produces maybe three drips straight after it is turned off, then it stops.

A bit of a drop does then form at the end of the spout, but they don't form enough to then actually drip down.

I'm thinking this is perhaps just a feature of the tap that wasn't noticed before - it has quite strong water pressure so I think it's just a drop or two of residual water making its way out when the tap is turned off. I'll keep an eye on it but as it only drips straight after use and not for a prolonged period, I'm hoping all is fine!
