morning All
Ruby glad you are home, please make sure you rest up and give yourself time to recuperate or there will be another waggy finger here.
Nels glad you got to see DM
Out early here as I too had bloods from the vampires so had to fast last night, worked out well as we are out with family and DMIL today and DH birthday tomorrow.
I did venture out again yesterday as I decided I do want Brussel sprouts on Christmas day was surprised the shops were not as busy as I thought they could be.
Also went out with DH to get my pressie ( M&S slippers) which had come down in price since we last looked so added bonus. I had a quick look in the food hall whilst there crikey things are expensive, needless to say didn't buy anything.
Mehefin when I was living at Ddads earier this year when he was ill I didn't drink in case I had a call in the night. I did find a reasonable Rose in S'Bugs and Mcguigans did a reasonable Sauvignon but as you say most tasted very sweet . Hope your results are not too worrying
Hope everyone else is keeping safe and well and that all shopping etc is done.
Hugs to all who want them

Morning all...Found a butchers at a local farm, went home with two massive on the bone pork chops, it's been a while since I've had one of those, like about ten years at least, which we had with mushroom risotto and my herb mix on them. Also got a big chunk of black pudding for my sausage rolls tomorrow and our christmas meat. Very happy with my haul. Stopped off in Morrisons for a bit while I was waiting for OH to finish work, got some little bits and pieces, bit of cheese kind of thing, only have tuna left to get from Lidl and I'm done. Probably until the the veg runs out. Tip run today, pick up OH, I did boil up my apples and crab apples last night so there's some jelly to make and I want to make a sweet chilli jam too, I have the chillies and peppers and sugar.Nels, thanks for the update on Ruby, let's hope it goes swimmingly from now on. Shame about your mothers home is being visitor selective again but she does sound to be having a whale of time at the moment, and she has you to thank for that really..Good job Nels! Camelot, good god, can anything else go wrong? Stay in the house, don't go near anyone! How lovely about the presents though..Coxy, how strange, not related to your illness a few months ago? Hope you've phoned a doc. Scarelt, I do that when it's not even Christmas, is there a queue? Yes? Nope, not going in!
Gers, is your mobility down to needing another op? Bella, I agree with you, it's pretty much on par with two courses in a good pub here. Enjoy the catch up! Rosy, hope your friends were good and enjoy sparkly pizza party! Sounds like it really should be fun
Mehefin, fingers crossed for blood results. You can get a Nosecco from most sm's if you like that kind of thing, but honestly, I've never tried one that even came close to an alcoholic drink. Maybe just go with coffee and some syrups for that instead..
Take care all, wrap up against wind and rain, hug a teddy if you're feeling poorly...

Once in royal David's city
Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her Baby
In a manger for His bed:
Mary was that mother mild,
Jesus Christ her little Child.
He came down to earth from heaven,
Who is God and Lord of all,
And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall;
With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Saviour holy.

Coxy - hope you feel much better now, it's always strange when something hits us out of the blue and then disappears just as quickly.Nels - thanks so much for the good news about Ruby, she'll feel happier to be in her own bed and being looked after by family. And it's lovely that you got to see your DM again.Taff - another great tune, thanks. Yes, my old hip was always next to 'go' as it took the brunt of compensating for the bad hip for so long.NRA / Taff- it seems to be the season for blood testing.Bella - enjoy your lunch today, it sounds great.Mehefin - my fingers are crossed that you fine an acceptable sub!I've been out to collect my new meds, only one was actually prescribed so I phoned the surgery who will sort it. I'll get the missing one tomorrow. Then my travels took me to the tip where I dumped my black bag and some glass (not all wine bottles) and lastly posted a letter even though it won't arrive until next week. The clouds have cleared but there's a sea fret rolling across the estuary, it's really quite pretty.8

Hi everyone,
Camelot, I hope little one has a better day today, what a chapter of accidents, and that DD recovers quickly.
Coxy, how frightening, I'm glad you feel better.
Ruby, I hope you're feeling ok.
Mehefin, fingers crossed everything is fine.
I'm sorry if I've missed anyone.
We went over to see Crystal and Nate yesterday, I'm really quite worried about her, she seems to be hardly sleeping and is still very anxious about Nate, if she left the room she would rush back at the slightest peep, even though we were there and he wasn't crying or upset. Chris only has 3 days off which is a shame so I'll try to get over there as much as possible, it's difficult to get her to accept help though.
L, B and the two E's have gone to London to see the Hey Duggee show. They caught the train by the skin of their teeth but hopefully everything will go ok. They registered Esther yesterday, her middle names are Julia (after Brian's mum who died in August) and our surname which Laura still uses instead of her married name. Esben has it as one of his names as well.
I finished the stockings on Tuesday and made the mince pies. Today's agenda is tidying while the family are out and making meringues and chocolate mousse. I've already been shopping and got most of everything, just the turkey to collect and probably a few salad bits. The shops were mad and you get infected with the madness, I had to keep reminding myself that the shops reopen on the 26th or 27th so we won't starve.
Have a good day.9 -

Afternoon everyone
Just a quickie from me as I'm going to pop down to the nearest shops and get the last few bits I need so I don't have to go in the morning.
Early finish today at 2.15 and now I'm off till January 10th - seems like ages away. Classroom is looking very bare now and everything Christmassy either taken home by the children or packed away for next year.
Hope the poorlies are resting and being looked after. Take care everyone x8 -
Mehefin, Tesco do a rather acceptable a/f own brand fizz which is on the drier side, and if you prefer a beer Lucky Saint a/f beer comes highly recommended by a retired brewer I've known for about 40 years.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
