Can anyone help please, my father purchased a necklace from Bradford exchange for myself and my sister, he made payment in full and has proof of purchase. He's getting threatening letters asking him to pay or bailiff action will commence. Can't get through via telephone. No response via email. We've sent a recorded delivery letter and they've not responded to that either. He's distraught and called me again today crying as he's had another one he's 78 and of ill health, he's not sleeping or eating because of it. What can I do?

Just to double check. The transactions have debited the account?

What is the payment method he used?

If paid by card then his bank should be able to provide him with the transaction numbers. He could then write (and email a copy of the letter) with the transaction numbers and ask they research with their card merchant.

Also did he pay the full amount? They often advertise staged payments e.g, just 3 easy payment of 33.33 and it is possible the wrong method selected on checkout?

Ignore them, it's bluff. You can't instruct bailiffs without a CCJ.
If you mean debt collectors, they have no powers of entry.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Yes his bank statement shows full payment and he's got a receipt confirming payment. They're just not responding to anything.
