Opening an Irish bank Account

Whilst I do have a holiday home in ROI I am not a resident but have had an Irish bank account for more years than I care to remember! I opened a BOI account in 2021 because Ulster bank pulled out of the Irish market without any problem.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

They are required to offer basic payment accounts to EEA residents outside Ireland. This obviously does not apply to UK post Brexit but they can still open accounts if they so choose.Katiehound said:
