British gas randomly "settle" my account?

Got this notification that British Gas have settled my accounts? But as far as I know nothing has changed. I haven't missed any payments or changed anything at all at BG. Just been paying my DD as normal month on month (I am also in credit).

  • Check the data on your actual files.  The alert is probably nonsense..

    British Gas recently updated their systems & migrated existing customers. As a result they closed accounts on the old system & opened new ones on the new system. All BG customers will find they’ve got settled accounts showing on their credit files.
  • I recognise where you got that from and they are very unreliable. However  it is as the above poster says.
    Old enough to know better...........
