Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark damp and windy start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was jacket potato, cheese and beans, pork pie (menfolk) ham, boiled egg and salad. Tonight I'm not sure.
Half day at work and hopefully dishwasher engineer coming to see if DW can be fixed.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Wet and windy this morning, had to close the bedroom window as the blinds were blowing about and were generally being very noisy!
Hoping your pain has eased this morning Ruby, Nelski please pass on my love and get well wishes to Ruby.
Yesterday was non stop at work but a lot was done before I sneaked away early for the dentist. I had a very thorough scale and polish that was quite uncomfortable at times but I feel a lot better for it. The hygenist didn't see any problems so fingers crossed I'll be ok until I get an appointment for a check up.
I think I'm going on an ikea run for work again today, shouldn't take too long as we have a list! Secret Santa today and a pot luck lunch so no packed lunch needed tody.
Washing all up to date for a change but getting things dry is a slow job but the stove is helping overnight.
Hugs to all, hope you're all well. Take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. There's been a gale blowing all night. My now outdoors Christmas tree may not have survived! Thanks to whoever came up with the idea - DP1?Yesterday was more productive than I expected. Before I went out I put on a white washing load and a DW load too. I'm being very miserly with both machines though the DW is a slimline one so it takes a bit of juggling with the crockery.I managed to find a set of outdoor lights for the blooming tree which are now flashing away, it's a pity that they are blue as I'd prefer white but that was the only box left. A picture will come later. When back home I brought in a load of logs and then vacuumed out the woodburner, a job I'd been putting off since last week. The weather was dry so getting the vacuum from the small barn wasn't daunting. Just as well I did it as the rain is pelting down already. The washing was put on the airer with the dehumidifier going so should all be dry by now. Back to full knicker complement. 😀DP1 - it's so lovely that DD's home is fixed and that you have your other chick back too.TA - I hope that you found a good table.Snoozer - a little peace and quiet is just what you deserve.Nelski - thanks for news of Ruby.Ruby - perhaps you're feeling better (at least a little bit) this morning and that you get home soon.Taff - is slowing down an option?Nan - I hope that all is well with you both.Izzy - not long now until your wee break.Today will be one of rest 😂 as outside the house is decidedly uninviting. I hope that everyone is safe and warm. Happy Wednesday to all.12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. No wind hereabouts but there is evidence of overnight rain on the windows. And not a bad forecast with some sun on offer!
I hope RUBY is feeling more pain free this morning and allowed home today. NELS please add my name to the growing well wishers list.
I had my usual good catch up with BFF yesterday and we were lucky to nab our favourite table by the fire. And it wasn't as busy as we expected. We don't want it too quiet though, we can't do with that shutting down or we really will be stumped as to where to go!
Today is bus trip day. Yet again only the two of us. We think it will probably be Skipton again for a poke around in a few cs, a tour of the market stalls and then our usual wine 'n dine lunch.
Have a good day folks if you can. ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or MIA. GERS your little tree looks pretty in the moonlight. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Morning everyone
Gers - yes it was my suggestion - I hope it hasn't blown away in the night!
I almost finished my wrapping last night - just little ones to do tonight then I'll be done. I think I'll just put her pirate ship in a big gift bag and put paper on top.
We have our Christmas party at nursery this afternoon and a visit from Santa - so great excitement! I'm going down with little one about 10.30 as we have a nurse coming to do some medical training with a couple of members of staff for her - the plan is after Christmas she'll be able to go to nursery on a Wednesday without me.
After the party when the children have gone we'll take all the Christmas things the children have made down and put them in big bags ready for them to take home tomorrow - it will look very bare.
Eldest DD has gone to Leeds today to visit a friend who she worked with in Sweden.
Ruby - hope you get home today x
Well I've just realised I've only got an hour before I go out and I need to have a quick tidy. DD bought me a lovely Christmas sandwich to have for my packed lunch today - I'm looking forward to it!
Have a good day everyone x11 -

Gers - yes it was my suggestion - I hope it hasn't blown away in the night!Yes, it's still there! Here's a photo in daylight yesterday, today it's still grim and grey outside. It's stuck in beside the Rosemary.Izzy - no need to be disappointed, it's blooming Christmas, time for some slack.PS - Daylight for only 7 hours and 49 minutes today, then the light starts to slowly creep back.8 -
Morning, it was a wet & wild night here, the rain woke me at 4.30, seems ok now.Ruby, I hope you get home today and the pain is under control now. Thanks for the updates Nelski xYesterday I cleaned the carpet and rugs downstairs, and just given it all a good hoover as I was coughing afterwards- perhaps I put too much solution in the cleaner. We have an unexpected treat for a lunchtime outing, our friends who moved to Spain are in town to see family for Xmas & messaged yesterday to see if we could make lunch today. Luckily DH was finishing early today, they're just helping the bricklayer move the scaffold round. After nearly 2 weeks off with the snow & ice he is keen to get a lot done this week, weather permitting of course.Taff, good idea re the tinsel. I tried taking in one top yesterday but I didn't have any of the needles for synthetic fabrics and it jammed. Managed to get the top out without damage, but can't get the needle out to replace, so I dug out the overlocker & just did the centre back seam, it'll do ( especially if I can find some tinsel
). It's so long since I used the overlocker I couldn't remember how to use it at first.
I think we'll just have a sandwich tonight as we're eating out. I need another coffee to prop my eyeballs up before I start to get ready.DGD finishes school today so DS will pick her up and take her to her Mums. DGS has another day but they're not staying with DS tonight but tomorrow instead as it's the sparkly pizza party for the girls footie team that we're going to.Hope all is well with you all, take care x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, another one who wants to be added to the good wishes list please Nelski. I hope Ruby is pain free and ready to go home today, gentle hugs.
Everything was done yesterday plus I did some washing, most of it has dried but some thicker items were left on the airer overnight. We also picked up the DGC after school and they were eying up some of the xmas food, I had to tell them it's not xmas yet so hands off ! As it was they ate a jam doughnut, a packet of crisps and some sweets and they were only here for half an hour ! They will be here again tomorrow but they will stay for a roast dinner and pudding 😂 I was shattered after 2 rubbish nights and went to bed early, thankfully I had good night's sleep last night.
Well Mr Fix It's planner has been wrecked for today as were were going to run some outdoor errands but it's raining hard. If it dries up they will get done later, but for now I'll get on with some cleaning and also help him with his curry prep.
Take care all, stay safe and dry.
nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently9 -
Morning..Ruby, hope you're home today, hope the pain has subsided or you have good enough painkillers that you can't feel it. Nels, thanks for the update, hope you're doing OK too and you've seen your mother. Izzy, as above, don't worry about what you've put on in one week, cheer yourself up with the thought of how much has been lost in the previous weeks.Give yourself a stern talking to in January, which is in less than two weeks... Camelot, the hygenist still sounds yuk to me, but woohoo, ikea trip!
Gers, glad you have a full knicker compliment, I was worried
that blue is very blue isn't it! But yay, it survived! TA, enjoy your day out, and whatever is on the menu...
bella, it's the right time to do it with veg wars going on...
DId three loads of washing yesterday including OHs old work trousers and the towels, two in the tumble, one hanging around, fire was lit, burned nearly all the little bits left over from the delivery so the bucket can go back in the shed. I hoovered a mountain of cat hair up, I put it on the strongest setting, it does suck up more, and has the bonus effect of scaring the cats out of the house so I don't trip over them while I do it. Today I need a shower, get dressed, I want to go to a butchers so I'll be searching for one of those since my preferred one shut down, have to fetch OH from work and I swear i will wrap some presents...I don't even know if I have sellotape. Better check. Look after yourselves all, don't do too much, have a prosecco on me...。❅*⋆⍋*∞*。*∞*⍋⋆*❅。
God rest ye merry gentlemen
Let nothing you dismay
For Jesus Christ our Saviour
Was born on Christmas Day
To save us all from Satan's pow'r
When we were gone astray
O tidings of comfort and joy
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
From God our Heavenly Father
A blessed Angel came;
And unto certain shepherds
Brought tidings of the same,
How that in Bethlehem was born
The Son of God by Name.
O tidings of comfort and joy,
Comfort and joy
O tidings of comfort and joy
