I’ve been approved for the Asda Money credit card, currently waiting for my card in the post…
what are others’ experiences with Asda credit card/s? Do you mainly use it for your Asda shops or generally/both? Any what are they like with increases, customer service etc?
Thanks

I've had mine for about 6 months now, and so far had no issues with them at all. Had a promo period of extra points when spending at ASDA, limit of £1000. I've since taken out other cards that I use more often, AMEX with points and the like, but kept the ASDA card open. Just spend occasionally on it to keep active. Zero negatives on it thus far.
CC limits £26000
Long term CC debt £0
Total low rate loan debt £3000
Almost debt free feeling, priceless.
Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.1 -
I have had mine since July 22 and have a direct debit set up to pay in full . On one occasion the message part on my statement was so full of stuff about interest rate rises that they did not print the usual info about how much they would take for the DD and when.
I queried that on live chat and got a reply within a minute confirming the DD details. I also got an email shortly afterwards confirming the same. Can't fault that.
I use the card to shop at ASDA online and instore plus petrol but nowhere else. I did try to use it in Tesco once but it got declined..

Did you manage to find out why it got declined?jimmo said:I have had mine since July 22 and have a direct debit set up to pay in full . I've had no problems with mine at all. I've used it in various shops and online. Also used it contactless on public transport without any problems.1

I use mine exclusively for Asda and diesel at an Asda forecourt. Spent £55 of my built up cash pot yesterday. I use a NatWest rewards for everything else.Only small gripe is you can’t use it on Apple Pay1

I didn't even try. I just used a different card. Anyway it worked the next day in Asda so I didn't worry about it.bambilegs said:

Whats the advantage of using the Asda card rather than the Natwest Reward card at Asda stores? 1% cashback is better than 1% back in store credit surely?jefaz07 said:I use mine exclusively for Asda and diesel at an Asda forecourt. Early adopters got 2% cashback I think for a period of time.
After that the only real differences, NatWest/RBS rewards credit card has a fee (refundable if you have a rewards current account) and Asda give 0.3% cashback on purchases elsewhere as opposed to 0.25% from RBS/NatWest
Both are beatable though by either using Chase or Amex.0 -
I was one of those early adopters. You get £20 in your cash pot these days. I have a reward account so don’t pay a fee and you get cashback of 1% at all supermarkets then .25% everywhere else, with exception of ‘selected retailers’ which will earn you more.kaMelo said:Early adopters got 2% cashback I think for a period of time.

Has anyone received the £20 Asda pounds yet for the Asda credit new customer offer which was on until 28 feb?
