Refitting a roller blind

This blind was always rather reluctant to roll up. It fell down while I was cleaning. Now I am struggling to make it roll up after refitting it and I was thinking I might have mislaid one of the fittings. Pic 1 shows the empty ends of the blind. Pic 2 shows the RH end on the wall for the mechanism to latch on to. Pic 3 shows the other end. Pic 4 shows the parts to fit into the ends of the blind. The plastic piece attached to the chain seems very loose in the blind end. Should there be something else to keep it tightly fastened to make it rotate the blind when I pull the chain down?

Are both ends of the roller the same?
It appears the piece with the chain should mate with a part in the end of the roller.

I've just solved it. Nothing was missing, it seems the tube is a little too large for the fittings so I pushed a bit of card into the end around the part that turns the tube and now it works fine.
