Utilita - new customer, no response for several weeks.

I recently moved to a new flat in which Utilita provide the electricity for. I filled in the new customer form several weeks back. Didn't hear anything after two week so began calling. I couldnt get through at all. I sent a complaint and thats been about two weeks since then. I have not received any letters from them or any energy payment scheme vouchers. Is there something wrong with Utilita?

  • Are they on any social media channels? Some people have reported good reactions from suppliers by using those methods of contact?

    If you have a few hours to spare waiting then the chat function does eventually get through to someone, just click the energy option (from the little 3 lines thing in the chat), type the word human in the chat box and do something while you wait for it to get to your turn. I found a tenant had changed to them after they left and also had an interesting time trying to get through, eventually the phone was answered before the chat the first time, then when I had a query the chat answered first.

    2022 all rolling into new mortgage + extra to finish house. 125,000 End 2036
  • I tried the chat and they gave me the same number I was calling before. Said they couldn't do anything over chat. I don't know what to do.

    Send a letter headed COMPLAINT to

    Bournemouth Road,
    Chandler’s Ford,
    SO53 3QB
    Go to the Ombudsman upon receipt of a deadlock letter, or after eight weeks if they don't send one.
