That's not how it works.
It's how it could work, but they seem to have decided not to actually do anything with the 30min readings most of the time.
Even the usage graph on the app is monthly.
Would make you eligible for the demand reduction trials though.1 -

And if you want to see power demand for the country, there are several places where this is recorded and presented in real time - even down to individual generator level. No "coming clean" needed.1 -

They do at least note the highest and lowest daily usage, which they didn't before, so perhaps they're going to start doing something with the detailed data soon.1
