Not got ovo dec £67 energy rebate

I pay for gas and elec smart meter DD on 12th . OVO send the government rebate on the 12th and it clears into my bank on the 13th (dependant on working days). It's now the 20th and my bank has not received any instructions for the  DD credit of £67. I am not the only one from OVO how hasn't received Dec payment and it's past 5 working days. I now have to contact UC for a loan to cover the £67. Is anyone else in this position with OVO or other energy supplier?

OVO gives me the £66 as a credit on my bill, rather than a payment to my bank account.

  • Update I finally got through after an hour and they have confirmed there is a issue with DD payments and they have an escalation process BUT there is no timescale as to when I will receive the refund even me mentioning I now need to get a loan to cover short fall. Do I have any consumer rights in this situation?

    Probably not.

Almost certainly not. They do not have to process the rebate by any specific date and you have no rights to it being processed on a specific date. The guidelines say that it should ideally be processed at the same time as the Direct Debit is taken, but it can be before the end of the month and there are no penalties to the suppliers if they do not process them all in a month. Due to the nature of the systems being used some delays are even expected by Ofgem.
  • Mine is coming through tomorrow (Wed 21) DD went out Mon 12

Has someone from OVO told you that? I don't have my payment (dd the 12th) and OVO have made no contact to inform me of what is happening.
