Keith, can you confirm, please? Does the DHW (usually) come on with just a tap being opened? No timer no nothing else?

Your access issues may change that, though.

That's what I'm trying to book with them, they've been out before and the boiler is correctly installed, just BG and others want more access than even the installers guide suggests should be there. It's a pain to work on compared to modern stuff, I don't even have a big house to justify such a boiler but there's no where for a wall mounted one to go.
