You would have to buy the pack to find the heart shaped crisp inside to win the big £100,000 prize.

Not really in the spirit of comping though or what the promoters would expect. It's an hourly competition too.

Not fair to someone who might go in to pick up some packets to try and win only to find they have already been scanned. 

As an hourly competition, it's likely not a pack win but a moment win, so you need to enter at the right time, rather than packs have pre-designated winners allocated.

Surely your receipt would be timed after the time of entry though? And thus deemed invalid?
