Anyone seen 'Rejected from machine at outward MC' with RM?

Had an item collected by RM (small parcel, Tracked 24). Was within dims and weight limits for for small package (package, 25x15x8cm, weight 900g sent as 1kg).

Collected last Saturday and just seen when tracking it on ebay 'Rejected from machine at outward MC'. Strangely doesn't show this when tracking on RM's website.

Of 1000s parcels never seen this before. Considering it's within size and weight, could that mean damaged? Label was taped over with clear tape (how I package items to secure the label to the package) so can't imagine ink has been smudged. Item is a difficult to source plumbing part (and pretty much indestructible).

Like others, having a right time of it with RM - some 2nd class parcels taking 1 day, other 1st class items taking 2 weeks. Fortunately have had a good few patient buyers and most items have turned up but this one I'm unsure of.
