Hiding kitchen grid switch

I am trying to decide what to do with my kitchen grid switch as you can see it doesn't look visually nice . I could replace it, but wondered if anyone have come across a cover that can be put over it.

Define 'nice' - that's very personal. At least it matches the socket nearby.
By my standards it's not nice only because installed badly - the top row and poor wall finish.
You can find other designs, but will possibly (not sure) have to replace the switches as well, not just the cover.

I’m a bit confused. Why would you want to switch off the freezer, anyway?

Are you looking to cover the whole switch, or just to replace the front cover. For the latter, do you know what make it is?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Because it's plugged into a socket that is difficult to access - like any other appliance can be?

But why switch it off at all?

And, the risk of switching it off by mistake is a bit of a concern.  It just looks like an accident waiting to happen.

to defrost it, or if it develops a fault
  • Without adding any other purpose made plate or cover could you simply place something in front of it? I can't tell where it is from the picture but if it's above a counter top then lean a nice chopping board in front of it (obviously without accidentally knocking the switches) or if on the floor then large plant pot? Only if it wouldn't make it onerous to keep moving it to use the switches.

Looks like Crabtree range to me (may be wrong, but removing faceplate (mains off at Consumer Unit first for safety!) will have the name on the reverse.

    https://mastertrade.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=crabtree+grid+8

It may well be a different brand of grid switch, however.

A good clean, plus preparation and repainting the wall would smarten the whole thing up.

Because if there's smoke coming out of the back of the freezer, you'll want to turn it off ASAP.
    If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

If you are handy you could make a shallow wooden box to cover it with no back, and a hinged lid for easy access.

Or maybe a very very small roller blind?  :D
