Or underneath the sofa. Or behind the fridge.
I want to use my (Android) phone as a live video camera, showing the feed on a Windows laptop. Both share the same wi-fi network but could be linked by USB cable. Nothing needs to be recorded.
I've tried Googling and nothing seems quite right. I've tried something called DroidCam (app + PC client) and it just didn't work.
Does anyone have suggestions or have something similar running?
TIA.

I've used IP Webcam, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pas.webcam
It puts up a web server on the phone which you connect to via a browser.
It's pretty simple, but it works well.0 -
Can't you do what most people do and either a) move the fridge/sofa, or b) look in the reflection of a mirror reflecting another mirror? You could do what Mr Bean did once and go stand in a photo booth
But seriously though, I just installed DroidCam on my phone and all I had to do was feed it the information from the app and it worked absolutely fine.0 -
I was going to suggest droid cam...works for me.

Deleted and re-installed on both phone and PC - cannot connect.x_raphael_xx said:I was going to suggest droid cam...works for me.
I wonder if the phone's security settings are getting in the way (Samsung A52s running Android 13) although I've granted all the accesses requested at first open.0
