I am also still waiting for an item bought on eBay on 24.11 to be delivered. The seller posted it on 28.11 as second class signed for and it still shows in transit. I have opened a case with a seller and will be asking for a refund at the end of this week. Whilst I appreciate that this is out of sellers hands, the item I bought is a live plant. I feel very annoyed that she chose to post it as second class signed for service when 2 days of strikes were forecast for that week. She said she had had a bad experience using Royal Mail 24h service. Fair enough but at that point I feel she should have chosen an alternative carrier such as EVRI who at the time were providing next day service. The postage charge would have covered the fee.
In fairness, the seller has been responsive and contacted Royal Mail who told her that they would deliver by the 18th. As a buyer, I’m not looking forward to receiving a live plant which has now spent almost 3 weeks in a dark box, in some corner in a post office. It will be barely alive if I’m lucky but certainly won’t have its flowers intact. I feel that I am justified for asking at least a partial if not a full refund.
