Currys PC World Mobile phone & Argos tablet I have bought above at online with no discussion with staff at either.. In each case I wanted to return item and was told that once I opened the box / item I could not return it. In case I started the item up, logged in to my account and tried setting up apps etc. as I wanted them. Both did not function in the manner I wanted and so I tried to return them unsuccessfully. With Argos tablet I managed to demonstrate something that did not work as it should and after a lot of discussions with various departments managed to get a refund. Are either or both correct in refusing a refund once the item is switched on?
