ESA confusion

I am currently on contribution based ESA. I'm due an assessment next week for LCWRA if it's granted do I continue to get ESA plus extra for the LCWRA or does that payment replace my ESA. I'm not entitled to UC as my hubby earns just over the threshold. All the searching I've done relates to UC, totally confused.

If placed in the Support Group of ESA, there is an additional payment.

CB ESA payments are limited to a 12 months period, unless you are placed in the Support Group.

LCWRA is part of UC, which is why you're getting confused. Support Group is related to ESA.

Is your UC claim still open, pending the assessment?

For UC there is an extra payment for LCWRA and a work allowance (an amount of earnings they ignore before making deductions) so it's possible there might be some entitlement to UC as well, although your increased ESA would be taken off in full so there might not.
