I collect old toy cars. I recently bought some, mostly dating from the 1960s, none of them new, from an auction site in Sweden. Shippers FedEx have added VAT to the invoice. Is this correct?

If not shipped DDP then
Yes Import VAT at 20% of Invoice Value plus FedEx handling charge. Lovely Brexit.
If you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim.1 -
Only if they are for business purposes... the OP said it was for their collection so unless they are running a museum its seems fairly unlikely its for a business.superbigal said:If you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim.0
