Beyond loans?

It sounds like you are on a slippery slope if you have an overdraft too. They generally charge 40% interest too. Borrowing your way out of debt will make things worse especially if your only option is expensive debt. You need to really look at all your expenses and see what is urgent. Have you got stuff you can sell or take back if you have gone mad on Christmas presents? Food bank if you are struggling to buy food. Might be a bit late now but can you get evening or weekend work in a supermarket or pub to tide you over?mickginty said:
It’s just an overdraft with my bank that in but I’ve used it up for the month and I’ve never got a loan before so was looking to do it for a one time thing. By the comments I’m best off leaving that thought then?Ebe_Scrooge said:mickginty said:

Visit the DFW boards instead of rummaging around for bottom-end loans.Debt-Free Wannabe - a forum where you'll get loads of helpful and non-judgemental advice on how to tackle your debt, rather than trying to borrow your way out of it (which can never work).
For future reference when you get paid you prioritise expenditure as follows.
Rent or mortgage
Essential utilities like energy, tv licence, council tax and water, broadband.
Food.
Fuel or travel to work costs.
Unsecured debt repayments can be put on the back burner if you cannot afford them. Go over to the DFW boards and elaborate on where your money is going and how much debt you have.
