£400 Government Payment after moving house

We have received £66 in Oct, £66 in Nov & £67 in December.  The house is sold & the electricity account is being closed.  We do not require another electricity account.  Are we entitled to a further 3 payments of £67?  If we are, how would be get it?
Thank you

No.  If you're not using/paying for energy in that house any more then there's no need for financial help for it.
  • You are responsible for the standing charges and electricity consumption up to the date the sale completes. That's the day to read the meters and close the account. The next owner will open an account with the supplier. Whoever has the account on 1 January will get the next payments.

If you don't have an electricity account on the 1st of January, you will not get the £67.

The money is paid to you by the supplier where you have an account on the first of the month, if you don't have an account there is no payment.

You've been here long enough to know better.
  • Thank you everyone.  The info I read suggested that each household was entitled to £400 in total.

But as with everything there is the headline and the detail.  Does everyone pay no more than £2500 for their energy ?
