IAS Appeal success against Excel parking

Thanks for all the advice in this forum. I used lots of it, but decided still to appeal to the IAS after initial appeal to Excel was rejected. Glad I did, Excel decided to drop it. Hooray. Now planning to write a complaint to Excel, then to the Ombudsman - not holding my breath but about time these guys were held to account for their nonsense ticketing and nonsense appeals process.
For context, I got a ticket for taking too long to pay for my ticket (!). In a car park where you’re allowed to park for the first hour for free, but if you want to stay longer you must decide that within the first 10 minutes of your free hour. Madness.

Madness indeed! Free parking is free parking and you'd only decide to extend your time by paying for the next hour , during that hour, not on arrival.
Well done for winning. About 20% of cases are dropped by PPCs at IAS.
Please come back in January to do the Government's overdue Public Consultation about the level of private parking charges.
And I hear a BBC Watchdog piece is being prepared that could be terrific timing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Well done. I thought I'd misread your thread title for a moment! Miracles can still happen! Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
