HSBC FLEXILOAN ACCOUNT

Hi, I opened a current account approx 28 years ago with Midland/HSBC bank. They suggested I also open a Flexiloan Account with a £3,000 limit which I did. I have always used it and it currently has a 16 % interest rate. When I opened it I had to take a repayment insurance which I also have paid ever since. This year HSBC informed me they were removing this insurance product so I no longer pay it, they gave me no choice. Can I claim any of these payments back as they took it away? For information I did apply to HSBC in 2017 for PPI claim on this but they refused and continued to charge it.

No. You no longer have to pay it, as they no longer offer the insurance.
When you did pay it, they did offer it0 -
If you complained in 2017 what were the rejection reasons? Did they say it was not PPI?
Did you refer the complaint to the ombudsman as is your right to do within 6 months? If not your complaint is over0 -
At the time they said it was not PPI. I did not take to the Ombudsman.0
