NHS GHIC site under maintenance

I was intending to apply for a GHIC for my family on the NHS site but when I go there it says its closed for maintenance.  Does anyone know how long its been like this and whether there is an ETA for it being back online/available?

I don't get the 'closed for maintenance' message.
I went through the questions as far as the name page.

    Hi OP

Your post reminded me to do our as we have ED tickets from our cancelled visit soon after Covid became big news

I went via the Gov site but don't think it makes a difference.
The site as any site at times can get emergency maintenance
and I feel that is what you encountered.

FYI, about 5 mins ago we made successful apps via the site you refer to - so it is working, give it a go if you have a mo.

    Take care :)

    Update
I have not got the confirmation as yet but noted the reference nuber

They say it can take a few mins to 24 hours and check spam boxes etc which I have done
I've made a note of the reference number

    Thanks

So, AndyThomma - have you tried to do an application again?
    And was it successful?
