Removing past/linked address from credit report

Hi,
A friend is hoping to rent a room in a privately rented flat. The landlord will perform a credit check with Equifax to assess my friend's suitability for the room. However, my friend has (without the landlord's consent) already been subletting a room in that property for a while, and has registered her bank and everything at the property- this is likely to be revealed in the 'linked addresses' in the credit report- am I right? That will alert the landlord to the fact that my friend's been subletting without the landlord's consent. If my friend de-registers her bank/HMRC/electoral roll etc. from the property now, can she apply for the address to be wiped from her record? How long would that take? Thanks so much.

You can't remove past locations unless they are there in error, it's a historical record of fact
I don't know what appears on credit reports but I would guess only that they probably are looking for things like CCJs, missed payments etc rather than the address she has used.
Maybe worth asking on the renting forum on here as they have landlords and some of them might tell you what appears on the credit check that they do0 -
No this wont show up for landlord credit check0

The fact in this case is that the address was at the property where the individual now wishes to rent in a more formal way.
The credit reference agencies will not change a correct fact - a change can only be requested if the "fact" has been recorded incorrectly. That is not the case here.0
