Parcel Force Compensation less than expected

Can anyone advise why PF have offered less than the value of a lost parcel that I had returned to a company please? Tried phoning but not getting a suitable option on the automated system and no option to talk to anyone (though I am aware there's a strike today). It was sent 48hr express. Value correctly stated when I bought the postage. All proofs of posting, non-delivery and value submitted with my claim. They offered £57.42 instead of £68.90. Thank you

Seems rather an odd amount, and that service comes with a standard cover of £100. Have you queried the low offer? If so what was the response?0

That looks like they've taken 20% VAT off (£57.42 x 1.2 = £68.90)frankiecat said:Can anyone advise why PF have offered less than the value of a lost parcel that I had returned to a company please?
