I would just log a formal complaint. This won't get you the card quicker but perhaps some compensation. I had massive trouble with Santander a few weeks back and in the end had 3 complaints for 3 different matters and got compensation in all 3 cases.
I have done a RBS transfer and neither have card nor PIN and could do all in the app. Was all processed the same day.0 -
I am also waiting to receive my Virgin credit card after the email was sent on the 24th November saying it’s on its way.Also wanting to do a second BT but just like you, I’ve been told I need to wait for delivery of card.I submitted a complaint this morning.Pretty frustrated!0

I have a promotional deal ending on 30 December with MBNA. Was offered a good transfer rate by Nationwide. The only problem is they have to send a cheque to MBNA as they would not accept the payment electronically. It was sent last Friday and hoping it will keep there by the 30 December. If not I will have to pay the amount off from my bank account. However. MBNA have agreed if I am put into credit they will refund back to me.0
