First free day for months. Came back from hols Sat night and was out to a friends within an hour. Up to Manchester to return DD and boyfriend to her flat Sunday.
Now working through mount washmore. DS1 who is still living with us has been poorly while we were away and so I had to do a proper clean of all the facilities. He used them all.
Sorted out some frogs and did my monthly financial healthcheck. I have done some reading of the thread but don't have the time for a full catchup. Will pop in soon to properly catch up.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. It feels like I'm making incredibly slow progress at the moment. High time content for lower impact. I guess that's just because all the easy stuff got done ages ago and so there is less and less to actually find or there is the difficult stuff to work through.A bit more progress on the digital decluttering:2,686-2,697 - online accounts deleted2,698-2,759 - bookmarks deleted2,760 - paper (reused, then recycled)2,761-2,762 - packaging (recycled - used to hold soft plastics to recycle)2025 decluttering: 3,925🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅

Thanks @Mrs_Salad_Dodger, I think dh was a very happy man when i said there would be no wallpaper in our room 🤣. I think you are right about the sewing machine lead... the universe is saying "focus dfw, focus". It is annoying though because I can put my hands on pretty much anything of anyone else's, but my stuff (I don't have much as had a huge declutter about 3 years ago) I cannot find. 🙄 oh well, plenty to be getting on with until it shows up.
@roundtuit I made a very quick list and I am up to 25 things but this includes car interior and also porch. There must be loads more but brain is scrambled 😕 I am sure they will reveal themselves as the month progresses.
Just finished an online delivery order for tomorrow night. Thought we had more food in, but we are a little bit Old Mother Hubbard at the minute, good thing we haven't the car as we are using up what we have got in for the past few nights which is nice and not like us at all normally. A fresh start for a fresh month on Wednesday. I have got to put the curtains up and start prepping room for furniture to come back in over the next couple of days. 2 bedrooms completed now, 1 to go (but not starting until the weekend, I need a few nights of something different!)
Don't envy you with the curtains @vulpix, hope they all go well.
Have a lovely evening.2024 decluttering Campaign

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Commence ‘Operation Frog Tickling’ I have an acronym - I.R.I.S. being Identify, Research, Implement, Sign Off
3. Implement a new sleep/wake up regime - start going to bed earlier (target before 2:00 a.m.) get up earlier (target by 9:00 a.m.)
4. Deal with daily mail immediately
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. If I spot a mini task deal with it immediately e.g. refill olive oil pourer or salt cellar, stitch up a hole in a garment etc
7. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Now 17:30, so I was away some time but at least I only said ‘later’ on my last post 😅 I did have a flurry of activity - quickly checked all 8 drawers in the dining room wall unit but only managed to declutter a broken strap for a head torch 😔 but I did move a few things about to more appropriate drawers 😉 - need to revisit & be brutal ☹️ Next I tackled 3 of the 16 cubby holes - those being used for food stocks - emptied & cleaned then completely rearranged. No food binned but managed to condense a few bits & relocate several items - including a ‘missing’ bag of red lentils to the newly sorted larder + 2 boxes of Risotto rice to the Brexit cupboard (remembering to update stock lists 😉) - finally putting like with like 🤣 DH’s birthday presents now added to the box of items to go in the garage WHEN it is sorted. I created enough space to retrieve all the extra food stocks that were hidden in the wall unit cupboards, so everything is on display 🥳 Also checked DSis’s kitchen cupboard & was allowed to recycle a box 😂 which meant I could remove a kitchen roll from the dining room table & put it away 👏 + decanted sweets from a large sweetie tin to a plastic jar. DSis was having a bath when DH finally got home at 16:15 having done 10,000 of his 11,000 steps. Foolishly DH had decided to use an overground train which was so slow that he thought he could have walked faster 🤣 Tonight we are having sausages, mash, beans & tomatoes.
678 - 683 Kitchen recycling, cardboard box, cardboard packaging, handful of paper instructions, large sweetie tin, drinks cans - recycled

Dfw38, fingers crossed that you only have to keep your children’s toys until they are 30 🤞😂 Good luck with your ‘Mini Missions in March’ 🍀 - with roundtuit & Fayolle joining you I am sure The Three Musketeers will be successful 😊 Hope you manage to finish the painting tonight 🤞
Great decluttering Rootle 👏
Liverpool_Anne, a nice start to your Sunday - sparkly wool for a project, treating yourself to a coffee & then a visit with In 😊 Bit of a pain that you had to go back & get the paint mixed but excellent work on the gate painting 👏 Are you sure DH has a bad back 😉🙃 if he could come outside, albeit with a cuppa, just to critique your painting then I think you ought to let him finish the painting 😅 - I am only joking of course - gws wishes headed his way 🙂
Sorry to hear about ‘blue bear’ weenancy 😔 You must have been frightened to leave the house if items ‘went missing’ all the time 😖 We might very well love our parents but sometimes they do have the oddest ideas 🤔 Sorry to hear that you still have the lurgy 😔 Remember to take care of your shoulder when you and the roommates start shifting things around downstairs 🙏 I know the nurses are probably very busy but surely they could manage a quick check on the patient & a reassuring comment to anyone who phones 🤔 Really, really hoping that the weather forecasters have got it wrong & that the rain and snow stay away & that the temperatures warm up 🤞
Oops just noticed the time was 19:10, so broke off to make dinner. Sausages are in the oven, potatoes are peeled & cooking on the hob & beans & tomatoes are warming through.
GrannyKate, shopping malls are my idea of hell especially when it is usually filled with chain store shops 😑 Hopefully DS2 & the small people make it a bit more bearable 🤞 Great work dealing with frogs 👏Good luck getting the plumbing sorted out 🍀
EnergyShifter, yippee to coat rack being taken 🥳 the person was probably waiting for you to go out 😉Visiting family sounds like a perfect way to spend a Sunday 😊
Florenceem, you are so good going to church & usually twice 🙂 What a marvellous result from the Ukrainian families cake sale 👏 You obviously needed your Nana nap after working so hard on Saturday 😊
Thank you skogar 🙂 Excellent decluttering of books 👏 & how great that you can empty your loft (at least a little 😉) for your next round of tackling books 👏 Great work sorting out the shoe rack 👏 The thing is you had to make absolutely certain that your new walking shoes were fully broken in before consigning the old ones to the bin 😉
Florenceem , apologies for adding the haircut comment which should have been made to TC77 🙊More kindness from both you & Mr F 😊 Hopefully the porch won’t stay full of books for too long 🤞Excellent decluttering & still way ahead of February’s target 👏
vulpix, you are joining an elite club of wranglers - the other member is a Christmas Tree Wrangler 😉Well done on not only making the curtains but also on putting them up 👏 Poor teddy, as he is in his 80’s no wonder he needs a bit more convalescence & TLC 😊 Well done MrV, getting the blind up without the expense of a divorce 👏😉
A perfect place to stop (at the end of a page ) whilst eating dinner at 20:30 🙂

Forgot my nos yesterday, two bags of Dad's clothes dropped at the donation hub, I item sold for pennies and posted, car taken by truck to garage and picked up with 2 new tyres, decluttered £ .
@vulpix , I haven't given up on the fantasy me back in the clothes I love. I do find I still pick up smaller clothes that I used to be able to fit in, come out of the changing room and think assistants are thinking ' who is she kidding' although often CS and they don't have changing rooms!
Booked my blood test, and an email frog, a few emails deleted and few documents filed, trying to do things as I see them, also bank thing, and messaged carpet fitter who has my deposit and never turned up - not quite sure what to do about this. I don't think I'll see the money again. He does work for a local shop where you pay the shop for the carpet and then the fitter cash but this was a private job. He did write me a receipt for the money
Minor in the scheme of things but annoying.
