How do I get the £400 Energy grant when have no utility account as goes through landlord
I live in a complex where there's numerous flats and bungalows. The utility bill goes to the landlord, in his companies name. He then raises a typed bill to each property. The meters are in his property. We are on LPG and Elec, which is expensive but live on the moors. We don't know who the suppliers are.
CAB have stated that we are not domestic users because the landlord charges through his company. I have written to our MP and have had no response. There are at least 7 people here in this situation and our electricity trebles in January. What can we do to get this payment?

At the moment you are not directly eligible as that requires an electricity account with one of the suppliers which you do not have. The government are looking at options to get funds to those with non-standard living arrangements such as static caravans and this may fall under that, however I would not hold your breath on that as whilst it has been said they are looking at options they have bene for months now and seem to have made no progress so it may be an unfortunate situation where nothing happens.raven2902 said:I live in a complex where there's numerous flats and bungalows. Why does your electricity 'treble in January'? Your LL will be on a commercial tariff, but he cannot resell to you at a profit. What are the unit rates? you are entitled to see the bills and establish that you are being correctly charged, and to verify your own meter readings. You just need to ask.No free lunch, and no free laptop
