Morning all, still freezing. I have an Oca do order due any minute, all present & correct apparently. I hope he doesn't get stuck on our road like several people did yesterday, including my oldest friend who rang in a bit of a panic from the top of the street, so I walked up to her and we managed a very nice lunch out. She was surprised at the snow on our road as she lives nearly an hour further north and it's not as bad there. We had to queue for a table at our fave place, then afterwards she was going to see her brother & SIL who live fairly close to where we were. I wanted to get a few more bits for the DGC & from the As da on the retail park where we were & said DH would get me back so she could drive home before it got dark.Surprise visit from DS2 & DGS after school, DS seems to be walking a bit better. DGS decided to write his Xmas list and post it in our log burner - gulp, bit late I thought! Luckily most things on it are already in Santas care.Dp1 hope DGD gets home today.Oca do are here better dash, take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it seems warmer today although it's still -1. Dad's appointment at the audiologist dept went well with lovely staff and in and out before we could turn around. He had another hearing test and came away with a new updated hearing aid, so he's a happy bunny. We managed to have a hot meal at teatime yesterday and kept it down and in (sorry if TMI) so hopefully we're on the mend now.
This morning I have clean to down the kitchen and feed the xmas cakes. Later I'll do more present wrapping which should keep me occupied for most of the afternoon. Anyone would think I have a mountain of presents to wrap but I'm just so slow this year 🐌
Bella I had a bruised swollen eye on holiday once and I was told it could be due to a sinus infection.
dp1 good news about little one, fingers crossed she can come home soon.
Coxy glad you've got DS back home for xmas.

Morning
Nothing exciting happening with weather here still icy still cold. The road I live only has 7 houses so no chance of a gritter and there isn't really enough car movement to mush it up. Apparently Sunday is forecast to be 10 degrees here so hopefully this is a short term problem. Managed a very tentative trip to the bin this morning ...scary stuff I could feel the ice trying too floor me.
Volunteer calls this morning then with any luck the plumber is coming this afternoon to connect the washing machine. The dirty pile is building up so hoping he can do it this time.
Glad to hear little one managed to eat DP1
Hope everyone stays upright today and enjoys the day
