Wowcher purchase faulty & deemed counterfeit by official supplier

I bought an external hard drive via Wowcher just over 12 months ago, this was delivered through Obero International Ltd based near Manchester.
The drive became faulty and I couldnt access my stored files so I went through the process and returned the equipment to Western Digital (drive manufacturer)
It has just come to light that the unit has been deemed counterfeit by Western Digital & so confiscated.
I have contacted wowcher who only seem to work via WhatsApp and received a message saying it was over 6 months ago so they wont do anything - surely under
the sale of goods act a drive thats supposed to save my personal and work files would have reasonable course to last more than 12 months? In addition Wowcher
are processing counterfeit goods.
Anyone have any advice? Obero International Ltd on reading reviews seems to be a Chinese set up in the UK pedalling cheap versions of kit with no contact detail.
On purchasing from Wowcher you don't know who the supplier is until you have ordered and I wasnt on guard to check it may be dodgy - they dont seem to have a proper complaints proceedure though I have asked for official contact details.
Any come back or is that that?
Thanks

Wowcher sell vouchers. You can then use the voucher as currency to buy things.
Wowcher give a 14 day cooling off period during which you can return the unused voucher for a full refund, so they comply with consumer legislation.
You say 'On purchasing from Wowcher you don't know who the supplier is until you have ordered'.
Are you sure about that?
I have looked at various items at random on their webpages. In every case at the bottom right hand corner it says 'This deal is brought to you by (the supplier)'. In fact some of the items I looked at say 'This deal is brought to you by Obero International Ltd'.
Obero's Registered office address isUnit 1, Kiwi Park Commerce Way, Trafford Park, Manchester, England, M17 1HW
Their Company number is 12088242 and they have been registered since 5 July 2019.
I agree with you that their reviews are terrible.0 -
No not sure I just dont remember knowing it wasnt direct from the supplier, I dont really use Wowcher.
Anyway thats by the by I didnt know it was counterfeit until it stopped working and went back to the supplier - they confiscated it so Ive lost my files and am out of pocket to buy a new one0
