Bought a Kaspersky activation code on ebay

I have downloaded the application and installed it in my computer. I am having issues it will load and then goes on and on without opening then stop. So difficult to contact support. The seller is in USA and not easy to contact with the time difference. The subscription is for two years and shows as active in my Kaspersky account but I cannot use it as the application will not launch. The seller accepts returns but can I ask for a refund as it was a download. The activation code is active but no good to me as it will not launch. Guess the answer will be no. Thanks

  • Kaspersky usually prompts a lot of anti-Russian sentiment so prepare yourself. My understanding of activation codes for Kaspersky is that they are specific to continents, if not countries. When I purchased Kaspersky online i believe it was for Europe only. I would ask for a refund from ebay on the basis that it does not work for the country you are in. However, you could ask the seller if they know of any other technical issue that would stop it working first.

I have asked the seller, he has asked for a screen shot showing loading the application but nothing happens. It might be a technical issue from the app. Trying contact support with no luck.

Not getting much help from the seller, he keeps asking for a screenshot which I have sent and he did not receive. He said he cannot help without seeing the screenshot. It’s not covered under eBay money backguarantee. Is it worth involving PayPal for a refund? Does anybody knows?

  • Apart from that I don't know. I find that when using the software the customer services have been quite efficient. I don't think Paypal will refund for ebay payments. It needs to be done through ebay.

Good.  You don't want Mr Putin spying on your PC
