Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Very dark chilly start to the day.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was chicken, chips and beans - nice for a change.
Not sure what we'll be eating tonight possibly fish.
Back to work today, it will be a busy day as stuff going on.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc, hope the day isn't too busy for you.
I was up and out early yesterday, Costco, Home Bargains and Tesco with DD and the little one. Didn't need too much but still managed to spend plenty!
It's very cold this morning, I've put the heating on for a while to take the chill off. The fire has been doing overtime and may just make it until Thursday for a coal delivery but it'll be close!
Hope the little one is feeling better dp1 and she's all better for Christmas.
Also hoping Nanny and Mr Fix It are over the bug.
Be careful in this icy weather Nelski.
Hope everyone is well and stays safe and warm. Take care. XX12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's very cold here, there seems to have been a light fall of snow.I wasn't out yesterday, Dh took dgs home in the late morning, and the rest of the day was spent doing odd jobs.I had planned to visit a housebound friend who lives about 5 minutes walk away, i usually go for about 10am. I'll see what the pavements are like, I don't want a fall. Well, no one does, but since the osteoporosis nurse told me I was at major risk of a fracture I am very careful. You be careful as well Nels, if you go out.Dp1, hope the little one is feeling better.I was thinking of Snoozer and her family as well, hope they are all right.Thoughts to all of our poorly people, Poppy, Mr Fix it and Nan, and anyone else who is not wellTake care today folks, stay warm .13

Morning folks. Despite the temperature being a very cold -4° I can't see any frost, yesterday morning I struggled to see the sheep in the field. 😀I can't pretend that I was busy yesterday, I wasn't. The only thing I did was my bi-annual bowel cancer test which I'll post off today. This morning I have an appointment with the nurse again, more blood pressure checks. I won't be out long as I don't need any shopping. I'll light the stove before I go out so I'll come back to a toasty place.Keep warm and safe everyone, especially on the icy pavements. My horror is of falling over so I understand your fears Scarlet. Happy chilly Monday to all.12

Morning all, and thanks for the thread nmlc x
Haircut and eyebrow threading happened on Saturday but need to go back next Saturday for the waxing as too short(!!!!) I did chortle! We have snow here - a steady snowfall from about 2pm yesterday and now it's frozen. I am not going to attempt the trip to the London office today as will get more done, safely from my home office thank you very much.
DS2 was home this weekend and attempted to get back to uni last night by train but his shoes are in the hallway so I think DH had to go and rescue him last night. I was in bed at 9.30pm as we did a 13km walk around the Kent countryside in support of Papyrus yesterday morning. Very cold, very foggy but a good cause.
DD is now back from uni until mid-January so cooking for 3 is on the cards (tbh I never really stopped). I've a food delivery due at lunchtime as didn't get the chance to go in person this weekend. Let's hope the van can get up the hill!
Sorry to hear little DGD is in hospital @dp1 - I hope she is comfortable and soon on the mend x
Loving all the wood burner photos but not sure I could cope with the phaff!
Gorgeous photos @IzzyBee
Hope you all have a good day and stay safe and warm everyone.

Morning folks and thanks nmlc. I hope work isn't too horrendous.
I keep thinking it cant get any colder and yet it does. -4 and set to rise to -1. I am sick of staying in but the snow from Friday is still lying frozen solid on the front steps and I daren't risk crashing down them. I might see how far I can throw salt down them from the top step! I am doddery enough going down them without snow!
Other than finally getting the decs up not a lot else got done yesterday. Must try harder today.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, fed up or MIA. The poorlies on here are mounting up by the day, hope everyone is soon on the mend. Take care all, keep warm and safe xx

Morning all We had a lovely weekend with DD2 and DGS we walked up to the town and saw santa which was nice the snow has arrived we have had about 3 inches or so. I needed to take DS to work this morning just to unlock a centre we left at 6.00 and couldn't get off the drive so DS had to dig the car out once we were on the main roads it wasn't too bad but the side roads are bad still we are home safe now and won't be going anywhere for the rest of today. Dinner tonight is sausage n mash
DP1 hope little one is doing ok and DD has managed to get some rest
Nanny hope you and Mr Fix it are feeling a bit better

Morning all
We had snow yesterday for all of 10 minsI very excitedly text Nels to tell her and then it stopped
its bitterly cold here this morning but there doesnt seem to be a frost which is strange ! I got up in the early hours for a wee and it was so cold I was shivering I put my blanket on when I got back into bed which was bliss, I do feel for homeless folk out in this no chance of getting warm at all.
Only one client today as one has an appointment so we are going to meet another friend who is a carer with her client and we are going bowling and will have lunch out should be a nice day.
Dinner tonight is roast pork left over from yesterday just need to heat it through, nice and easy. The dw has been emptied and I will run the hoover round this morning.
Izzy is your lounge off of the kitchen ? if so get a stove top fan for your log burner which distributes the heat out kitchen temp went up by 6 deg when we got ours.
Have good days all and stay warm xxx11 -
Morning everyone
I need to get the bus down to work this morning with DD being at the hospital, but first I need to get to the bus stop - only 5 minutes away but the paths look so icy - not looking forward to it at all!
No change really with little one - she was put on a continuous milk feed for most of yesterday and through the night, to stop her blood sugar going too low. DD sent a photo of her lunch and there was just a tiny hole made in a slice of bread - that was all she'd eaten It was a nice tray of food with things on she'd usually like but she didn't want any of it. Poor DD said the soup smelled nice but she can't eat it as the nurses have to see how much little one has had. I've sent DD some money as the prices in the canteen are ridiculous.
Will just have to see what the doctor says today.
I decorated my tree yesterday - little kitten was running around the house and diving at it, so who knows how long it will survive! Still got a few bits to put up after work.
Well I'd better get sorted. Hope everyone has a good day and take care if you have to go out x12 -
