Terrified of pipes freezing
Comments
-
Thanks all I didn't realise that the hot water from taps didn't warm the pipes so I've learnt something.
I think I will have to get room thermometers but in the meantime I'm hoping having the gas central heating on for 45 mins first thing will be enough to keep things flowing.

The temperature nearly always drops at dawn so put the heating to come on around that time.

My water pipes froze a few years ago, I am considering leaving the heating on, not something I ever did.
My mains pipe coming into the house froze, just near the water meter, it was an inconvenience for a few days.0
