My energy usage this year so far
Just wanted to share/compare my energy usage this year so far (variable tariff the whole time, paid on receipt of bill for the first few months but changed to variable DD around March).
At the beginning of the year I decided to cut back due to the price rises, and this is the result.
To explain, I was using GCH last winter (only in the evenings and on weekends) but due to the extra cost, decided to do without if possible.
I live on my own in a typical poorly insulated 2 up, 2 down terrace, EPC E.
Looking at what I was paying in January and realising how much that same amount of gas would cost now is scary! I'm glad I'm healthy enough to live in a cold house because if I had to have the heating on for medical reasons, I don't know how I'd cope on a single income and no help (apart from the £400 everyone gets this winter). I feel sorry for people who have no choice.

We've used 21,570kW/h of gas and 2,750kW/h of electricity this year so far. Big savings in electricity since the 1st of April, down from using average of 245kW/h a month to 195kW/h. With gas more savings since plugging the open fireplace and then again since September when we decided to reduce temperature from 19C to 18C.0
