Or if you are delayed, don't use the ticket barriers and speak with the member of staff to keep hold of your ticket in order to make a claim.

Firstly I would suggest obtaining e-tickets where possible; failing that I would suggest taking a photograph of the ticket(s) before the journey has finished.But yes you can ask staff if you can retain the ticket.If you have proof of purchase, the company might accept this instead of the original ticket.0
