can you free credit report...have sorted experian

and now need to look into equifax but on the site it looks like it costs £11. from what i have read on moneysaving Virgin credit card use both experian and equifax. Also what are people's experiences of the limits they have been offering?
we recently had some issues with Virgin on the broadband side which is still not sorted - could this affects things with the request for a credit card? i am told a lot of people have been complaining about broadband with them so we are definitely not the only ones.

thanks in advance.

  • the credit card is run by MBNA, not virgin, so unlikely the 2 would be linked up. broadband accounts dont, i believe, appear at the bureaux but i'm not certain.
you used to be able to get 1 year CreditWatch(TM) on 30 day trial, just cancel before 30 days are up to avoid paying anything.
    hope this helps

    if you go to https://www.econsumer.equifax.co.uk/consumer/uk/landing.ehtml?^start=&companyName=LAW05_ukesngdetail
(just click the link, it appears truncated) you will find the offer under the Equifax Credit Watch Gold banner (third way down on left, or bottom-right corner). Don't forget to cancel within 30 days!
