Which lenders have problems with getting in a lodger?

Hi,
can you please share your experiences with lenders' requirements to permit you to get in a lodger?
Halifax and Nationwide at the telephone told me that basically that lodgers are allowed, as long as the are covered by the insurance and I ask their written approval. No strange clauses.
Barclays seems to have a very long list of requirements, starting from having lived in the house for at least 6 months.

All this in theory, but in pracftice what was your experience?

Thanks

When I let mortgage lenders know, they either weren't interested or misunderstood that I meant a tenancy and sent me irrelevant questions. I was with Barclays and didn't have a problem. Which requirements have they given you?  Insurance was more of an issue. Some insurers don't allow it or sa y 1 lodger only. Also they won't pay out if you claim for a theft/burglary and there is no sign of a break in. They assume that the lodger is guilty!

They started with"you must have lived in the property for at least 6 months", then they said that they wanted the lodger to sign a paper saying that they don't have any claim on the property (that would be ok for me) and then they continued for more and more requirements for 2-3 minutes that I didn't even understand.
