Sorry Ladies but I have been buying mince for nearly 50 years, the time spent mincing, would be a time I resent, will being uplifting, I have better things to do with my time. I am fortunate to have worked for a very good pension. Sorry.
     Me too
It wasn't me who suggested mincing! a faff too far...

Should I ever have spare cooked beef I might chop that in the food processor... but I don't think I have done that for many many years! (in fact I can't remember when)
I used a mincer last probably in my teens, when producing a Vesta type curry, it was a common item back then, the shepherd's pie or cottage pie would be produced on Tuesday from the Sunday joint.

Yes, we had a metal mincer- I remember it well- which screwed onto the work surface. Took a bit of cleaning too.
I also had one much more recently which had a suction pad.

I am just cooking savoury mince as I type this- mince from the supermarket-  which will be turned into cottage pies. 3 portions to freeze and one portion to eat tonight

However must remember to label it for the freezer- last week had 'rat pie!' When the mince thawed out it turned out to be ratatouille!
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Hope you did not put basil in the ratatouille, sorry if I have agitated people with my mirth,

Hi everyone, could we please try to keep on topic as threads soon get hard to keep up with if we go off tangent.

    Thank you
