in Credit cards
Hi,
I'm looking for some advice as I have an overdraft that I want to put onto a credit card so that I can pay it off within a certain time limit - i cant seem to clear it when its in my bank account, and feel if I put it onto a separate card i can pay it off better that way. Can I do this? Is this classed as a balance transfer? Sorry to sound thick but its all a bit of a minefield and I want to get this right!!
I would like one that is obviously 0% interest and think I can afford to pay it off in 6-8 months. So does anyone have an idea what I should go for? Credit history is very good btw.
Thanks

Only a few rather special credit cards have this capability.
A card issued by MBNA (e.g. Alliance & Leicester, MBNA itself, Sony, Virgin) Egg Visa or the Post Office card, will allow you to transfer an overdraft, in other words, transfer cash from the credit card to your current account.
Alternatively, you could use Egg Money (not to be confused with Egg Visa) in conjunction with any 0% balance transfer card.
Mint periodically issues credit card cheques, which can be paid directly into your current accountPeople who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0
